An estate sale can raise a lot of questions, but don’t worry we appreciate curiosity and have listed the most common inquiries for you.  If you have a question we haven’t answered, give us a call.


What is an estate sale?

An estate sale is a sale or auction to dispose of a substantial portion of the materials, usually due to downsizing or liquidating from an entire household. Carchedi Estate Sales also works with consignment items and collections.

How do you get buyers for each sale?

Carchedi Estate Sales gets buyers several ways: through our website; our e-newsletter, which has over 1,500 subscribers [link to join]; print ads in the Arizona Daily Newspaper; Craigslist and our bright, new directional signs located at intersections to catch customers driving by.

Do you do appraisals?

Yes, our team has been pricing and selling antiques for over 40 years. However, should an item need a professional, licensed appraisal we direct clients to the appropriate sources.

What types of clients do you work with?

We work with a variety of people from attorneys, realtors, executors of an estate, individuals downsizing, people out of state, family heirs and more.

What do you do with unsold items?

While most items normally sell, we inform clients of any valuable unsold items, should they wish take them back at no additional charge. Smaller, less valuable unsold items are typically donated to a local Tucson area thrift store.

Do you charge a minimum fee?

No, unlike most other estate sale companies, we do not charge a minimum fee.

How long does the process normally take?

We work with each client’s time frame, keeping in mind their needs and wishes. With that said, we have had clients that need a house completed in two weeks, while others prefer to wait several months.

Do you use the estate’s house?

Each sale is different depending on a client’s preferences, the time of year and location of the estate house. Either way, we are flexible to work with clients.

What don’t you do?

As of yet, we haven’t come across anything that our team couldn’t handle. Contact us and see what we can do for you.

How often do you hold sales?

We hold about 10 sales a year, on a monthly basis. Sales are normally held over a two-day period on Saturday and Sunday. Take a look at our upcoming sale.

Do you accept major credit cards?

During our sales we accept Visa and Mastercard (for purchases over $25) and of course we accept cash and checks.

Do you have discounted items?

Anything unsold from the first day, will be discounted on the second day.
